The Painter i find most rewarding is De Stael, perhaps it is not so strange that i continue to do no research into his life, mystery remains, i find i give his work far more time than others. Other flavours of influence include Auberbach, early Pollock & Davie, Vincent & Hitchens, COBRA (Appel & Jorn). Followed after college by El Greco & late De Kooning, Braque & Leger, COBRA (Constant, Wolverkaamp & Rooskins) Basically... painterly canvases painted for painters. My Favourite Gallery so far is Kroller Muller in the snow. |

Welcome and i hope you enjoy messypainter... Naturally paintings need to be seen in the flesh, most are in the UK (Brighton, Sussex & South West), the Netherlands, South Western France and more recently Beira Baixa, Portugal. :(ongoing AWOL... two A3 folios full of small yet favourite drawings/watercolours went... 1995/6 Hove~Brighton border, see early/mid water colours for similarities by following this link:).Think you've found one?
